If the gearbox has multiple shafts, each pair of gears will generate its own tooth mesh components.
Different types of gear teeth will generate greatly different levels of vibration. Spur gears are inherently the most noisy, followed by Bevel gears, Hypoid gears, Helical gears, Herringbone gears, and Worm gears in descending order of vibration severity.
